Hair is an extension of the nervous system. Your scalp is in direct contact with your nervous system, whereas the ends of your hair are furthest away from it. It is still an open question whether the hair can actually transmit important information to the brain, especially within our mammal friends. However, one thing we do know for sure is the healthier your body is, the healthier the hair will come out of your head!
The health of the hair is truly a reflection of how well the nervous system is working. For people who have weak, fragile or brittle hair, focusing on your nervous system health is the best way to fix your hair’s health and promote growth. If there has been any kind of trauma to the cells surrounding the hair follicle, it can surely put a damper on its ability to grow long, healthy and strong. Which is why it is so important to keep your nervous system healthy for mental and physical purposes. One thing you can do to help promote, stimulate and strengthen the nerve endings on the scalp is scientific brushing which I have done on a few clients. It helps to stimulate your scalp and hair follicles by bringing blood flow, which in turn, brings nutrients to the scalp.
